I visited another health centre with Shauna, this time in the village of Brikama. I was gathering information on their use of solar power for different applications around the clinic.
We had a great guide who took us around to all the different buildings of the clinic.
This is one of the wards.
This is an oxygen concentrator machine. Oxygen is used as a treatment for childhood pneumonia.
There were many women with their children there. They were all dressed so beautifully in their colourful traditional dresses. We were able to see the child immunization program being held there as well.
It is such an amazing experience to get to visit these clinics and see first hand how the public healthcare system works here.
